General care

As podiatrists we are trained to treat and manage all conditions relating to the skin and nails of the feet. Such as: corns, callous, foot deformities, nail care, dry skin, fungal nails and warts.

Foot pain & Injury

When looking at foot pain, we consider everything from the lower back to the toes. Completing a Biomechanical Assessment and looking at the bigger picture, to determine what is causing the pain and why, thus assisting management and prevention.

Ingrown Toenails

Ingrown nails can be painful and problematic, preventing you from your daily and sporting activities. We treat and manage your ingrown toenail to minimise pain and prevent it from reoccurring.

Orthotics

Orthotics are great for treating many biomechanical issues, helping to reduce tension forces and stress on joints, muscles and ligaments. Used to improve foot performance, they can improve standing and walking function, and help reduce pain in the lower limb and back.

Diabetes

Diabetes can have a significant affect on the feet. A diabetes assessment will be completed to determine your vascular and neurological status, along with foot care, this will help prevent serious complications that can arise with diabetes.

Footwear

Problematic feet can require specialised shoes. We provide advice and guidance on appropriate footwear for your foot type.

About Action Health

Hi, I am Kerensa Dockley and the principal of Action Health. I have been working in the Health Sector for over 10 years, and have a Bachelor of Health Science with a Masters in Podiatric Practice attained from La Trobe University Bendigo. I provide private podiatry services in Northcote, Hurstbridge and in-house podiatry services to several aged care facilities throughout metropolitan Melbourne.

I also work with those covered by Medicare Chronic Disease Management or CDM (formerly Enhanced Primary Care or EPC). I also care for private patients as well – no referral necessary.

Special interests: gerontology, diabetes, ingrown toenails, nail surgery, corns and callous.
